Description of Duties:
RPCI is seeking a full-time Assistant Contract Administrator. This position will serve as an integral member of the Purchasing Department and will report to the Contract Administrator. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Contract Administrator with project management support for the following: professional service contracts, service and maintenance agreements, IT hardware/software support, and capital equipment. The Assistant Contract Administrator is responsible for ensuring that contracting processes are executed in a manner consistent with State and Institute procurement guidelines. The candidate will assist with the preparation and the review of contract bud specifications, scheduling and leading bid openings, and reviewing bid documents in preparation for presentation to RPCI's General Counsel's Office for their review and approval. The Assistant Contract Administrator will also be responsible for promoting, implementing and monitoring MWBE contracting as required by NYS.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or a related field and the equivalent of two years of full-time purchasing or contract management experience in a healthcare, business or corporate environment; OR an Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance or a related field and the equivalent of four years of full-time purchasing or contract management experience in a healthcare, business or corporate environment; OR a High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of six years of full-time purchasing or contract management experience in a healthcare, business or corporate environment.
The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a business related field, or an Associate's degree with five years related experience, extensive knowledge of standard Microsoft office products, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
