Description of Duties:
The Maintenance Electrician works directly with the Assistant Director of Utilities to perform the work for LED lighting conversion initiative. Tracks the inventory of material, disposal of material that have been replaced and schedule the work. Coordinates with building occupants to schedule work in their areas. Troubleshoots, repairs, and re-lamps existing light fixtures and circuits. Troubleshoots, tests and repairs electrical systems and equipment; assists with other maintenance tasks; assists with general maintenance activities as needed.
Applicants must have a High School diploma or G.E.D. and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time electrical experience under a journey-level electrician, equivalent to training provided in an apprenticeship program.
