Description of Duties:
The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for the creation, enhancement, support, maintenance and testing of software applications to support the clinical trials development division's functions. These applications may involve multiple development platforms, C# programming language, third party software, advanced technologies and tools, Participates in design, development and implementation of applications to solve complex problems. This position may be requires to provide technical direction and system/user documents. They will serve as technical resource for applications developed or learnt existing applications. The Programmer/Analyst may be assigned individual projects or projects with activities on a team, they may collaborate with external programmers on the development of software applications and works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more veteran staff.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in programming of mainframe or PC information systems as it relates to technology used at the Institute. The preferred candidate will demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of C# development, .NET Framework, Web Services XML, Stored Procedures for SQL Server, have the ability to solve complex logic problems and interpret instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form. Experience with Forte's OnCore Enterprise Research System, Medidata RAVE, Oracle, and SQL are also preferred. An assessment test will be provided to all qualified candidates to evaluate required proficiency.
