Description of Duties:
The Senior Secretary assists patients with lodging, arranges patient transportation, prepares Medicaid Transportation paperwork, documents patient assistance in EMR, Triages patient/internal and externals calls to RPCI staff, psychosocial & case manager staff, assists with Language Assistance Program needs-if required, schedules Psychosocial Oncology staff Patient Appointments, schedules outpatient appointments for Consulting Psychiatrist, performs complex clerical, administrative and general duties; prepares internal and external written correspondence in professional manner. Picks up and delivers departmental mail. Delivers paperwork as needed to other areas when requested; schedules meeting rooms and equipment as requested; records and transcribes meetings accurately.; maintains the Department manuals when polices are renewed, updated, edited or retired; orders department office supplies and tracks usage; takes initiative; able to work autonomously and provides cross coverage for all departmental clerical staff when needed.
Applicants must have an Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time secretarial or related experience; or a High School diploma or G.E.D. and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.
The preferred candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Excel, PowerPoint & relevant technologies. The candidate will have experience in overseeing multiple databases, preparing reports for presentations and audits, data collection and telephone triage. The preferred candidate will have experience in insurance verification, Invision GUI, EMR and scheduling.com Strong customer service, organizational & and managerial skills a must.
