Description of Duties:
The Clinical Laboratory Technologist performs simple and complex laboratory test procedures in the Flow Cytometry Laboratory. Routine job responsibilities will include the development and maintenance of systems used in the preparation, staining, acquisition and analysis of samples received for flow cytometry immunophenotyping. The Clinical Laboratory Technologist will also complete the performance of calibration and maintenance procedures, utilization of spreadsheets and graphic software to provide final flow result interpretation for director review, and coordination and maintenance of supply inventory for operational use within the laboratory.
Applicants must have a License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related health care discipline and eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York. The preferred candidate will have previous experience in flow cytometry and cell culture.
