Description of Duties:
The Clinical Nurse Manager manages the clinical and business operations of one or more ambulatory centers by directing, supervising and coordinating center operations and staff in order to support the quality, cost-effective and patient-centric care. Manages patients' schedules, identifies and leads process improvement initiatives, assumes responsibility for center financial performance, and patient/family, provider and staff satisfaction. Manages the patient experience at assigned centers in collaboration with the Patient/Family Experience (PFE) Department. The Clinical Nurse Manager works in partnership with the Physician Service Leaders, faculty, Practice Administrators, Clinical Nurse Leaders associated with the assigned center.
Candidate must have a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of three years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting; or
2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of five years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting.
The preferred candidate will have a Master's degree, at least three years of full-time experience as a nurse practitioner/physician assistant, registered nurse, private practice administrator, or in a comparable healthcare related field, including eighteen months of experience in supervisory, administrative, consultative, managerial or executive capacity
