Description of Duties:
The Clinical Research Nurse coordinates, facilitates and monitors the implementation of RPCI clinical research studies; administers study medications in the Clinical Research Center in accordance with the written clinical research study. Independently and competently performs the nursing process, including assessment, planning, evaluation and intervention, obtains research specimens and perform tasks (i.e. EKG s, vital signs) at timepoints required by the study.
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in an oncology support or research setting.
The preferred candidate will have a BSN, chemotherapy infusion experience and recent oncology/critical care or med/surg experience. They will also have professional certification in oncology, research, or other related field.
