Description of Duties:
Nurse II (Operating Room Multi-Specialty) assumes responsibility for maintenance of service line excellence, they will precept and monitor staff competency in service lines, assume charge responsibilities when appropriate, participate in Materials Management to identify needs and control costs, as well as act as liaison between staff and faculty for optimal patient outcomes.
License and Certification Requirements
1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and
2. Certification or eligibility for certification as a Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR).
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time operating room experience; or
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time operating room experience.
The preferred candidate will have operating room experience, preferably at RPCI, familiarity with perioperative software systems, CNOR, and have excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
