Description of Duties:
The Nursing Quality Coordinator works directly with IT systems in the perioperative areas. Duties include planning, providing, and supervising the implementation and maintenance of perioperative software; preparing reports as needed for effective and efficient operations, and troubleshooting issues with practitioners and staff to minimize errors. The Nursing Quality Coordinator works with multidisciplinary group to care for patients in the surgical settings as relates to IT, proactively analyzes data and resolves issues, and participates in quality data gathering and analysis.
Applicants must possess a License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Additionally, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, appropriate certification, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of three years of full-time nursing experience in an oncology support setting; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, appropriate certification, 16 CEU’s annually and the equivalent of five years of full-time nursing experience in an acute care support setting.
The preferred candidate will have education or certification in informatics and/or computer technology, background in Information Systems and software, experience in perioperative setting, and the ability to educate variable levels of learners to communicate with multiple stakeholders.
