Description of Duties:
This individual will use their knowledge of provider and ancillary staff workflows, clinical informatics, and information technology to support and disseminate the strategic initiatives and vision for clinical applications and informatics projects as developed by the CMIO. Additionally, and in collaboration with the CMIO, this individual will further develop and refine informatics strategies and vision that will allow Roswell Park Cancer Institute to be more competitive by improving clinical outcomes, streamlining and optimizing clinical systems workflows, and decreasing operational costs. This individual will facilitate communication and act as an advocate and change agent across all levels of the organization to promote the adoption of new processes and technologies. This specific position will focus on informatics strategies relating to patient engagement including the MyRoswell Patient Portal.
1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; or
2. License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a health or science related field and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time clinical experience in a healthcare delivery setting including three (3) years of informatics and computer applications experience in a healthcare delivery setting.
