Description of Duties:
The Research Technologist collects data for experiments and calculate research studies and records, assists with planning specific research procedures, develops and troubleshoot new techniques that have been written, propose alternative experimental procedures, set up, calibrate and perform routine maintenance on specialized laboratory equipment, maintain lab records, lab inventory and ordering of supplies and assists with lab maintenance and training of new lab members.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting; or a Bachelor's degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and thirty (30) graduate credits leading to an advanced degree in an appropriate clinical or scientific discipline. The preferred candidate will have experience managing mouse colonies/lab animals including injections and general animal handling and proficiency in tissue culture techniques.
This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
